Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
With joy and gratitude, I welcome all of you to this historic event taking place here in the heart of Tallinn, to witness the beatification of Archbishop Eduard Profittlich, a faithful shepherd and courageous witness to the Gospel.
Today we honor a person whose life was marked by unwavering faith, fraternal charity, and heroic sacrifice. He served the Estonian people with dedication during times of uncertainty and persecution, offering his life as a testimony of fidelity to Christ.
We especially welcome the President of the Republic of Estonia, state representatives, and our brothers and sisters from other Christian confessions, who have joined us today out of respect and gratitude for the beatification of the Servant of God Eduard Profittlich and to commemorate the victims of deportations in Estonia.
We warmly welcome our esteemed guests: the Legate of Pope Leo, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, bishops, priests, and all the faithful who have come from near and far to join us in this solemn and joyful event. May this Mass strengthen our faith, inspire us to courageously witness to the Gospel, and deepen our love for Christ. Let us rejoice together as we give glory to God with the beatification of Eduard Profittlich.
Welcome to all, and may the Lord bless this day with His peace and joy.
