In the Roman Catholic Church in Estonia, in recent years, thorough study has been made of the written legacy of the Servant of God Eduard Profittlich. For the first time, readers will encounter Archbishop Profittlich’s articles, sermons, and some correspondence with relatives and the Vatican. It is important to know his life, thoughts, and actions, so that following his example, we may learn to direct our lives towards what is essential – God.
The aim of this book is precisely to show Archbishop Profittlich’s thought processes, attitudes, and his spiritual world, to learn to know him as a clergyman and as a true Servant of God. These texts, which Archbishop Profittlich wrote nearly a hundred years ago, are relevant and feel fresh even today.
We invite everyone to read these texts, which are certainly good reading right now, while the Archbishop’s beatification process is still open.
The book can be purchased from the office of Tallinn’s St. Peter and Paul Parish (cash only). Also, from Sunday, October 29th, from the Parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tartu, and from November, from well-stocked bookstores.
