A novena consists of nine days
First Day

Almighty God, look upon Blessed Eduard Profittlich, who throughout his life defended the faith of the Church and showed You his fidelity through the witness of martyrdom. Help us always, even in the greatest difficulties, to remain faithful to our faith, trusting in Your will in all things. May the Holy Mother of God, the Virgin Mary, all angels and saints help us, and may Blessed Eduard grant us the grace of steadfastness, moderation, and wisdom for this. Amen.

Lord, look upon Blessed Eduard Profittlich, who participated in Your suffering and carried Your cross. Through his intercession, help us to forgive with all our heart and soul those who hurt us; to love those who persecute us and Your holy Church and to pray for those who place obstacles on our path to holiness. May the Virgin Mary and Blessed Eduard Profittlich be the protectors of us and the Church of Mary’s Land. Grant us to forgive those who hurt us as sincerely as Your Blessed Eduard forgave all his persecutors.

Jesus Christ, hear our prayers, which we offer to You through the intercession of Blessed Eduard Profittlich. Help us to always be faithful and true to Your love in everything, for You are Love. Grant that we may love one another, as You have loved us. Do not let us fall into despair, temptation, or under the power of evil. May peace always reign in our souls. May Mary, Mother of God, whom You have given us as Mother, protect us and may Blessed Eduard Profittlich always intercede for us.

For Conclusion
Every day, as a conclusion to the prayer, one can pray the Litany of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (see below), which the Servant of God Archbishop Eduard Profittlich loved to pray very much.
It is important that the prayer has a clear intention and that the one praying is persistent in their prayer. During the novena, one should go to confession and receive Holy Communion (as often as possible or daily), always accepting God’s will when receiving grace.
