Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
In our hearts there is great gratitude and joy as we conclude this historic day here in Tallinn, where we have witnessed the beatification of Archbishop Eduard Profittlich.
Today we have honored a faithful shepherd whose life was full of unwavering faith, compassionate love, and heroic self-sacrifice. His service and testimony remain a lasting example for us and an invitation to follow Christ with courage and fidelity. Today we have also remembered and kept in our hearts and prayers so many Estonian people whose lives were taken in tragic times, often far from their homeland.
We sincerely thank everyone who has come here today – cardinals, bishops, clergy, state representatives, church leaders, relatives of Profittlich, and all who have filled this square with prayer and song. Your presence and communion have given this day special radiance and strength.
Let us pray that the new Blessed Eduard Profittlich may intercede for us before God, protect and encourage the Church and people of Estonia, and that this day may be a source of new faith and love for all of us.
Go in peace and joy, carrying this testimony to your homes. May the Lord always be with you.
Thank you and God bless you all!
